Hello and welcome to the MOBAFire Patch Summary - 6.24!

This is the official first patch of the 2017 ranked season! To prepare the Rift for a new season of ranked play, this patch includes a number of balance changes targeted at staple champions, items and masteries, as well as a few buffs and bugfixes for some of the weaker champions in League.

This section is brought to you by Fatelblade:

Taking a peek into the bush, we see our favorite Demacian has finally received a buff! Garen, The Might of Demacia, has gained tons of damage on his Judgment; after being hit by 4 ticks, enemies have their armor reduced by 25%. This synergizes well with The Black Cleaver, a part of a complete Garen breakfast.

Out in the fields, The Harbinger of Doom, Fiddlesticks, has received some love! He gained damage on his Drain, and Dark Wind had its cooldown reduced. On our way to gank mid, we have a mage hell bent on retaking his throne as the King of Mid! Azir has received a buff on his Arise!, allowing him to field an ever larger army. To afford paying these new soldiers, however, Shurima's Legacy has had its spoils reduced. Unfortunately for the Emperor of the Sands, Katarina, the Sinister Blades has machinations for the throne! Voracity has been buffed, and Katarina's dagger are sharper than ever.

That explains the good, but what about the bad and the ugly? Making another jaunt into the bushes, we don't find Garen, but Ivern, the Green Father. I'm sure most of you have had the (dis)pleasure of meeting this mellow fellow, and Riot has noticed that perhaps he needs to be cut down. His Triggerseed has had the slow massively reduced, and the mana cost increased. Soon, he'll be the one pushing up daisies. Good things happen in threes, and this is no exception. Twitch has lost copious amounts of damage on his Deadly Venom, and his Venom Casks have gained some weight; they have had their mana costs increased. Ratatouille is back on the menu! Some champions have tried hiding in the shadows to avoid the nerfs, but Riot sees all, and Riot nerfed the Night Hunter, Vayne. She has lost damage on her Tumble, and perhaps its name will soon become fall! Rengar also had his claws clipped, losing damage on his Bonetooth Necklace.
